Endless Townhome Options at Gray’s

As a master planned community, Gray’s Station offers the most variety of townhomes in one location in downtown Des Moines. Whether you’re right-sizing or looking to upgrade into a larger footprint, there are so many home options for sale within the neighborhood.  

Modest + Modern 

The smaller square foot floorplans have proved to be some of Gray’s most popular to date. The Bexley, Emden and Paisley floorplans all feature approximately 1,500 square feet of space. The Bexley’s feature a stacked 2-car garage and two floors – kitchen, living on the first with bedrooms and a walk out to a partial rooftop patio on the second.  

The Emden plans, one of our residents’ favorites, are one of the most built plans in the neighborhood. The bold orange, white and gray exteriors are hard to miss along the Gray’s bike trail. With two finished floors and a walk out to an expansive rooftop patio, these modest homes bring out the best for entertaining. A kitchen, living room (with or without fireplaces), and guest bath are all on the first floor with the bedrooms, laundry, primary suite and rooftop access on level two.  

The Paisley’s feature three stories of space, a two-car garage and a pale exterior color palette. While these homes are sold out, watch for the release of the newly revamped Preston’s, another two-story floorplan that will officially release later this year.  

All of these homes are built on slab-on-grade.  

All About Levels 

The Maison and Marlow floorplans are for people looking to make a statement with their home without skimping on extra space. While these layouts are just shy of the 2,000 square foot mark, they both have distinct differences that set them apart from the rest of the homes in the community.  

The Marlow plan is sandwiched in between the Maison plans on the exterior of the same building. These homes have two floors of space with a primary bedroom walk out to a private patio overlooking downtown Des Moines. These homes also feature a fully customizable basement space with additional storage.  

The Maison plans, while sold out currently, are another popular option thanks to their loft-level overlook and sky-high ceilings in the living room. With all bedrooms and living spaces located on the first floor, these homes also feature a basement as well as a second-level wet bar and large rooftop patio.  

These homes are located along our paseo pathway which is home to the Gray’s Summer Concert Series and it will connect from SW 11th to SW 16th when the community is complete.  

High End Living 

The remaining floorplans – Asana, Chava, Cordova and Grayson – leave little to the imagination with a long list of upscale finishes from top to bottom of the three-story townhomes. With large kitchen islands and living spaces on the first floor, all of the homes lend themselves to entertaining friends and family for special occasions and holidays. Each plan ranges from 2,088 to 2,353 square feet.  

The second floor has three bedrooms, two more bathrooms – including the primary suite – as well as a large laundry space. Finally, on all of the third floors of these homes, homeowners will find expansive rooftop patios and refined pergolas. These homes are located just steps from the Gray’s Bike Trail that connects downtown and Gray’s Lake.  

What’s Next?  

The Gray’s Station designers and architects are already planning for the next phase of the neighborhood that includes new home designs, finishes, and concepts. The Preston plan, which will be a smaller square footage on slab-on-grade next to the Emden homes, will release later this year – so keep watch! In addition, more original floor plans will also be added as the first phase rounds out the building.
