URBAN PARKS
Gray’s Station is surrounded by green space. From the mile-long bike trail, wetland basin, Coleman Bridge within Gray’s Station to 1,500 miles of bike trails near Water Works Park & Gray’s Lake, peaceful urban parks are minutes away. Our wetland basin is home to hundreds of native Iowa insect and plant species and acts as a natural filtration system for our downtown water.
Trails ON TRAILS
The trail system is one of the area’s most popular amenities. The network of trails within Des Moines serves as a core, connecting to over 550 miles of trails throughout Central Iowa. More than 65 miles of paved and 19 miles of soft trails run through the Des Moines park system. In the near future, you can add ICON Water Trail, a series of waterway trails, to the list too!
farmers market
Farmers markets are a summer favorite for local produce, plants & flowers and fresh-baked treats! The longstanding Downtown Des Moines Farmers Market takes place each Saturday from May through the end of October, and hosts 165-plus on-site vendors.
Downtown DSM Connections
The best part about living at Gray’s is being steps from downtown Des Moines’ best restaurants, entertainment venues and festivals. The Western Gateway and Court Avenue District are both within five minutes walking distance from your front door.
