Discover Our Local Businesses

You likely already know about all the living opportunities at the Gray’s Station community, but the community has much more to offer than just living spaces, including local business in and around the community.

A vibrant new taproom just opened in the community. Craft Bru was the first restaurant to move into the Gray’s Station community. Located in LINC @ Gray’s Station, Craft Bru uses an app called Pour Choices for contactless ordering from the 60 different craft beers they have on tap. If you’re scared that 60 options aren’t enough, fear not! There are new options every week! All the featured beers, seltzers, and ciders are from around the globe, and eclectic owner Dennis Dix is passionate about this locally brewed craft beer.

“In addition to the Iowa breweries, we’re excited to feature, we will also focus on bringing a lot of beer from outside the state. Guests can expect frequent ‘tap take-overs’ highlighting these breweries, along with constantly changing and seasonal beer menus.”

Have an old injury or your back out of whack? Also, within the LINC community is Iowa Spine and Performance, a chiropractic office founded by Iowa native Dr. Michael Henrichs. Whether you want to return to a professional sports career or take care of aches and pains, Iowa Spine and Performance can help you return to activity. Dr. Henrichs unique treatment plan balances chiropractic care and rehab technique. Iowa Spine and Performance is fostering relationships with a litany of local gyms and trainers to provide a seamless transition from rehabilitation to maintenance. With treatments ranging from personal training to dry needling, Iowa Spine and Performance can get you back in fighting (or walking) shape.

Another restaurant set to open in LINC is Mad Meatball. Previously located in the East Village, this pizzeria is sure to satisfy. The restaurant is known for its homey and retro feel, great pizza (and meatballs) and family-friendly, sports-themed environment. Mad Meatball is set to open by the end of 2021, rounding out the delicious options right inside of the community.

There are still two available bays open to lease – in case you’re in the market for a new home for your local business. These spaces have two entries – a walk up front and a back entry – all located along MLK Jr. Parkway.

For those willing to venture within a short walking distance of the community, the options keep coming. Just outside of Gray’s Station is ChuChu Donuts, a donut shop that bakes fresh donuts daily and allows you to customize your donuts with different creams or jelly. Right next door is Des Fresh, a delicious veggie-based shop for all your guilty pleasures. For the beer lovers, there are two breweries right down the road from Gray’s Station: Confluence Brewing Company and Exile Brewing Company. Both breweries brew in Des Moines and offer a teste of local Iowa grains made into local Iowa beer.

It’s true, being in downtown Des Moines does give Gray’s Station proximity to a lot of amazing local businesses, just make sure to stop by and check them out!
