Fully custom single-family homes are coming to Gray’s Station, thanks to Embarq Signature Homes. Built on large lots with fully customizable interiors, these three-and four-story homes will be among the only custom, detached homes in downtown Des Moines.
Embarq Signature Homes is a fully custom homebuilder based in West Des Moines, specializing in high-end single-family homes throughout Central Iowa. The team at Embarq has decades of experience in homebuilding, led by director of operations, Steph Reed. Their partnership with Gray’s Station is an exciting addition to the neighborhood as Embarq is all about collaboration, quality, and customization.
The homes proposed for Gray’s Station are complete with an attached garage, plenty of interior personal space and a gorgeous rooftop patio to enjoy the skyline from your personal oasis. Given the three- and four-story nature of the homes, homebuyers can also opt to add in an elevator for quick, easy access from top to bottom. The current estimated price of these homes is $800,000-$1.1 million, depending on interior finish choices. The home plans range from 2,200 to 3,200 square feet and with 3 and a half bed and bath layouts up to five bedrooms, all customizable. The newly released plans are the Valentina, the Elena, and the Amara.
The Valentina is Embarq’s modest 3-story plan with a proposed three bed, three bath and 2,300 square feet. Designed to have a light, stone-clad exterior and huge windows, and a walkout patio on the third floor, the Valentina makes the most of each space.
The Elena is the first of two four-story plans, with up to four beds and five bathrooms proposed. This home has over 3,600 square feet and is sure to impress with cement and cedar accents and a covered rooftop patio with a bonus room and bar on the top floor.
The four-story Amara features cedar, stone and modern dark exterior finishes with a brightly contrasting interior. With three beds and up to 5 baths, this 3,200 square foot plan has plenty of space for a fantastic master bath-closet combo, entertaining kitchen, and open living.
All exterior finishes and window placements are pre-designed in conjunction with the urban design scheme for Gray’s Station and the City of Des Moines; however, the entire interior – including wall removal or additions, finishes and layout – are customizable. Embarq has a talented interior design and architectural team who will draw, design, and create whatever space works best for you and your home needs.
“We want them to be exactly what people are looking for. If we were building these without people’s customizations in mind in Gray’s Station, they might not feel like they’re as special. Now, people get to come in, make their choices and design them along with us. We really strive to be the yes builder in every situation possible,” said Steph Reed, Director of Embarq Signature Homes.
Bringing the high-end customization of Embarq to the Gray’s Station neighborhood is an exciting development for Embarq, the community and those looking to own in downtown Des Moines. These homes were part of the original master planned Gray’s Station community proposed nearly a decade ago.
These homes will have access to all the amenities in the neighborhood including the paseo and pergola which plays host to the Gray’s summer concert series, connection to over 1,500 miles of biking, walking, and jogging paths, local business including restaurants and retail, and access to all things downtown Des Moines.
